I had this question for my English exam a few years back. I've puzzled over this for quite some time. Which do you think would be the more appropriate answer?
The question is-
These roses are ____________(reddish/oranger) in color than the others.
According to the rules of grammar, reddish doesn't signify comparision, because it has the suffix "-ish". Comparision is mostly denoted by suffix "-er". Get what I mean? On the other hand, there's no word called "oranger". My teacher pointed this out and said that oranger is wrong. But again, some people told me that "oranger" would be more accurate, especially as "than" signifies comparision.

Just saw this article.

The best times I remember as a child were playing as a kid with others, and Tag was a huge part of those memories.

I understand their are some concerns that kids can get hurt, hell kids get hurt everyday, it's part of growing up!! Are there seriously parents out there who would sue their childs school if they were hurt there? Give me abreak! If your so concerned about your childs welfare, KEEP THEM AT HOME! Don't send them to school, home school them. That is the only way to make sure their safe.

Let kids play TAG! Let them run around and have fun with their friends. I find this banning of Tag, It, and whatever name people are or have called it before ludicrious. I mean, might as well ban walking for kids. Without walking they couldn't go anywhere, and therefore wouldn't get hurt.... right?

Kids getting hurt is a growing up process that shouldn't be taken away!

I was when I was in 4 grade I had a sub teacher dug her nails in my arm and she wouldn't let go until another teacher checked on us and she told me to go to the nurses and principals office and they allowed me to stay in another teachers class until the regular came back. How many people can say they wasted thier time since they ended up in a low paying job forever ? I think it has been a waste of time and money for me. The debt is huge over 40 grand for me and I can honestly say that I regret going and that it was a waste of time money and effort since now I am looking at the same type of employment that I did before I went and borrowed all that money. The high paying jobs just did not pan out no matter how much I applied or tried for them. Who can admit that they wasted their time and money ? When I was in my early 20's before I went I had a nice car and a tidy sum saved in the bank. Now I have nothing saved and just pay the bank and credit card companies thousands a year in payments on principal and accrued interest. The interest is a killer expecially when you dont get those 'university jobs' etc
The high paying ' professional ' jobs that you think you will get by going to school all those years. Getting thoes loans wrecked my life.

I am a Florida public school teacher working within the 97-day probationary period. Is it considered harassment from the principal if he directs my fellow teachers not to talk to me?
