In your right hand u hold a gun, aimed exactly horizontally, and in your left hand u have a ceramic vase. suppose u fire the gun exactly at the same instant as u release the vase. Which will hit the ground first, the vase or the bullet from the gun?

a) vase
b) bullet
c) both at the same time

that's all the problem requires but if u can tell me why, that would be super!

These are extremely low, at-risk, 7th graders. They're still mastering the addition, subtraction and multiplication skills. They don't understand how math can apply to real life (I can use a calculator! They always claim). I want them to realize that math is important, relative and hopefully interesting. Because of their "at risk" stature, I teach them math despite my not having a math background so I'm not exactly the most creative when it comes to assigning math problems/projects. Any help would be appreciated--both by me, and my students.

I attended a four year university and now I see all of these people coming out of two year schools. Some are OK, but they seem to lack a good foundation and are not all that well rounded. They also seem to have an attitude that they should be getting higher pay. I am in the Graphic Design field.
