I am looking into toys available for pre-school children that are water based, so far it appears there are limited choices. I'm curious whether this is a lack of interest especially as my two children (aged 3 and 8) love water play and will find a way of manipulating water with whatever they can find. I would also be interested in the specifics of childrens play i.e splashing, pouring, filling and emptying etc. Any information would be great as I am a trainee teacher looking at ways of improving learning techniques.

Why does nobody these days seem to know that "for example" is "e.g.". They always seem to use "i.e" (that is). This is Latin, not rocket science...it's only two things to remember.

I just want to know what your first year of teaching was like and when it got better. And some general advice you would give to a potential high school teacher. I know about the age group and how a lot of them will be immature, but that's not what I'm concerned about. Thanks!

for his english homework last week my younger brother got asked to write a fictional section as if it was taken from a book and then set some questions afterwards. this what he wrote-

"this way!" he shouted to the others. the others were tired and cold and sick off running.
"im sick of you bossing us around!" dan shouted back "im staying here."
they were in the middle of a cornfield. just then the whirr of a helicopter was heard.
"come on!" he yelled and he started to run.
reluctantly so did the others. search lights from the helicopter scanned the field while they waited shivering in the bushes. they were safe but not for long.

My brothers teacher gave my brother a detention for the fiction but said his questions were very good.

why did he get a detention??

Why do Americans claim to speak/write English when they invent words, mis-spell existing words, and abuse punctuation. Can't we come up with a new name for their language?
