I'd start at the HSLDA website (in sources, below). Then, if you still need info (and you're a Christian - or you don't mind getting info from them), contact the Christian Home Education Fellowship of Alabama (CHEF of AL, below in sources).
Not sure what county you're in, but HSLDA has several local organizations listed in Alabama.
