I think the religion is designed to be a way of life, suited for a theocracy more so than a democracy. I think that the people generally are peaceful and well intentioned, as is the case in most religions. I do think that the people are too subbordinate to the leaders (the whole theocracy thing), which is one of the reasons that womens rights and other civil rights are a little behind the times.
My biggest criticism is that the leaders do not do enough to speak out about violent extreamists around the world that discrace the religion by performing acts of terrorism. I also don't like the riots and murder that occurs whenever people get offended, but again that is the extremists.

Not good...the followers claim it is not a violent religion, and each time someone says something they don't like, their first reaction is a call for violence. I don't get it. They didn't like the cartoons on a Danish newspaper, so they blow up buildings and kill people? They don't like what the Pope said, so they riot in the streets? Oh, yes, I see now how this is a peace loving religion.

I believe it, like others, is a good religion. It's just the extremists who are causing all the problems!

theres nothing wrong with having faith... no matter what the faith is.....
