There must be help for you out there. Have you sat down with counselors in schools yet? Have you gone to the library looking for info on grants for you? Have you looked for some type of scholarships?

If you're already in financial and personal burden, the last thing you should do is schooling. The reason for this is that you won't do as well in your studies, keeping up your family, and paying the bills. I would highly suggest doing a part time program taking one maybe two classes a semester starting at a community college. There is help based on financial need, but I doubt it'll be enough to cover 2 kids, a mom, and her education, unless you try out for section 8 welfare. And even then you need to deal with your sloppy hours once you find a job which will reflect on your time at home, again.

Nursing is a career that requires alot of hours a day besides the many hours you will put in at college. You will not be able to balance it. Home and the kids will suffer for it. I have had several friends that have gone into nursing and their children are more bonded to the sitter than the mother. Also, I have had several friends who have given up their nursing careers after having children because the job was demanding more of their time with their families.
The decision is really yours to make in this area.

You need to go and talk to the financial aide office at the college you want to attend. You should get 100 percent tuition assistance.
