This is a confusing question. I looked on several sites and they all say different things. The best thing for you to do is before class let your teacher know that you checked different places and some listed Hawaii and Alaska, others didn't. If you don't think you'll have the chance to have a talk, write them all down but write that you checked different sources and got different answers regarding Alaska and Hawaii. Then ask which ones you need to know if there is a test. Your teacher may be impressed that you did so much to get the right answer. Good Luck.

I would stay with Alaska, California, Oregon and Washington. They are all on the COAST. Hawaii is a Pacific Island. Also a state but not on the coast.

Alaska and Hawaii are NOT. Hawaii is in the south Pacific... and Alaska, okay, MAYBE, but the PNW is Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and maybe northern Cali. Ask your teacher, because that's who will grade it and decide what's right and wrong!

I would say they are in the Pacific coast region. Go with what your project says - forget your mom (no offense.)
Good luck!
