I am a final year student who came from hong kong and I hold a british citizen passport. I came here for six years already however I always fly back to hongkong during holidays(summer, easter, Xmas) in the first four years of ''residence''. Therefore I didn't really need/have a permanent place/address to stay at that time since I only stays at boarding house during term time plus I have no relatives/friends who lives in england at the time.

I have been paying international fees for two years(which is hack a lot of money!) I am now trying to convince the university that I am a local student with the uk passport, however I could not provide a permanent address which I have to prove I stayed there for three years pior to the start of the course!

I would very apprieciated if anyone could help!

I am currently going to college and was offer a part-time job that pays about $8.50 per hour. The job is basically doing nothing, all I do is some filing, mailing, and sit in a office alone doing NOTHING. Filing and mailing will take me about 30min and the remaining 5 hours I can sit and do absolutely nothing. I figure I can use this time for studying and homework.

I know the job pays really low and I usually earn about $14 per hour; but do you think it's a good trade-off? I mean taking a lower paying job to use such time for studying. Please help.

What should I do?

We have to do a research project on a country. I was given England as my country to study. We have to include the Capital, the language(s) spoken, the name of the leader, a map of the country, and then choose 10 other things that we think are interesting about this country(I.E Holidays celebrated, what flag looks like Ect ect ect) Can anyone help me? I can get the first part, but can someone help me on the 10 interesting things part? Or at least give me some hints/ ideas about what I should choose to use for this section?

I dont understand why teacher prvide thesis and reasons.. plz help!
Thesis: Rock music is having a negative impact on college learning.
Reasons: 1. Books require much contemplative effort; thus, they can’t compete with the easy, instant gratification provided by music.
2. Attention directed to rock music diverts attention from studies.
3.Students are absorbing the oversimplified message of the music rather than the complex messages of their professors.
