I am currently going to college and was offer a part-time job that pays about $8.50 per hour. The job is basically doing nothing, all I do is some filing, mailing, and sit in a office alone doing NOTHING. Filing and mailing will take me about 30min and the remaining 5 hours I can sit and do absolutely nothing. I figure I can use this time for studying and homework.

I know the job pays really low and I usually earn about $14 per hour; but do you think it's a good trade-off? I mean taking a lower paying job to use such time for studying. Please help.

What should I do?

If you don't need $14/hour to live, take the easy job and use the study time.

The only exception would be if the $14/hour job is in the field in which you are studying. The work experience would be helpful toward getting your first "real" job.

Yea, Any job where they pay you and don't mind if you do homework is great. Just make sure they don't care or you could be earning $0.00 per hour.

I think it is a good trade if you can afford to make $8.50 an hour.

I hope you take that opportunity, I will be doing the same for a little less than that.
