You will need to get an Bachelor's Degree in a related field (biology, kinesiology, exercise physiology, health education, health and wellness, athletic training, etc) and take the pre-requisites to get into an accredited graduate program (see a list of these programs here: http://www.apta.org/AM/Template.cfm?section=PT_Programs&template=/aptaapps/accreditedschools/acc_schools_map.cfm&process=3&type=PT ). The pre-requisites usually include biology, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, psycology (human development), pre-calculus, physics, & chemistry.

You will have about 3 years of graduate school to get your Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Then, you just have to pass the National Physical Therapist Examination. Good luck!

You can do a two year degree course through some schools or a four year course if you want to be more rounded/balanced in education. You will need health, anatomy, and psychology as well as sports medicine. Check out the Princton Review website. Through them you can find schools that have programs for this degree. Have fun!

you can get a 2 year associates degree at a technical college and be a PT assistant. for a full blown physical therapist I believe it is a 4 year program. good choice in a future.
