Number of classes really don't have much to do with, but you should consider the number of hours. Depending on the difficulty of the class, 12 hours is the lowest number (easy), but no more than 18 hours (better not have a job). I am a junior in college with 15 hours and I work 30 hours a week. I have a about 4 hours a day to study and hang out.

between 12 and 18 credit hours, no more than 4 classes/day. If you can take all your classes on MWF and have TTh off, that's super nice. But try to space your classes out so you don't have more than 4 per day

last year I was a sophmore and I took 18 credits and worked about 15 hours/week. I had 3 classes on MWF and 2 on TTh

That's not how college works. Classes meet at different times, but never every day. You should be asking in terms of credit hours, and a full load is 12 credit hours per semester (4 classes). Most will take 15 credit hours per semester in order to graduate in 4 years.

Your department should have a suggested schedule for you. Check with them.

The number of classes depends on the university. A friend went to a school where all classes were four credits, and students took four classes.

My college had three credit classes. Most students took five courses per semester. I took six.

Taking five, I would suggest three on M-W-F and two on T-Th

"full time" is at least 12 credit hours; that is 4 classes at 3 credit hours. 4 classes can be split up 2 on mwf and 2 on t & th, or all on mwf etc. I recommend taking 15 hours, in case you need to drop a class or something, then you will still be full time.

You could go everyday but overall I would say no more than 4-5 classes, depending upon the number of units for each class.

They usually say, each hour of instruction will require 2 hours outside of class for homework. You will need to take into account if you have a job or other obligations.
