So yeah. It's Algebra. Here's the question:

Carpeting costs $20 per square yard. You carpet a room that has the width of 15 feet for $800. What is the length of the room in feet?

I understand they want me to use the formula A=lw, but I still don't get it.. When I subsitute w for 15, what do I do next, if they don't give me the length? Am I suppose to plug in the money from the word problem somewhere in the formula also?

I want to know how to contact other countries to ask for teaching materials to expose my students to other cultures. Things like currency, maps, flags, etc... I have heard that many countries will send things to teachers around the world, I just don't know who I need to ask for such items. Thank you!

With a divorce rate around 50%, it is easy to see that couples do not take the normal “‘til death do us part” vow anymore; instead, it seems to be “’til divorce do us part”. With every upcoming year, divorce rates are predicted to increase, supporting the fact that marriage is not as important as it used to be. Marriage is often viewed in today’s society as a one day celebration, where you say a few words and get a ring, and then you have the rest of the night to party and eat cake. Too often, you will see couples who overlook the fact that there are many other aspects in marriage that are more important than the actual wedding, such as trust, communication and respect. These factors, plus many others, combine to create wonderful marriages which are necessary to the well-being of a society. Without these proper and successful marriages, the next generation will have no examples to look up to, and it will become harder for them to develop and keep relationships.

any grammar mistakes?

For instance...let's say a girlfriend calls you once every 3 months do go and do something...now i would consider that person an Acquaintence...But why do they feel you two are friends...(also you never would tell her anything personal or private)...i also feel it you haven't seen someone in 15 years...and you were never good friends with you in the first place...they are acquaintences...Why do people say..."oh yeah, i was a friend of hers.." when she wasn't ...if she thought about it...You were both honestly just acquaintences!!!??? tell me your take!
