I open my hand and touch my brow, and say,
"In the name of the Father"

Then I touch my heart with my hand, and say,
"and of the Son."

I touch my shoulders left and right, and say,
"and of the Holy Spirit"

I say,
"Amen."

The Sign of the Cross is
- A statement of belief in the Holy Trinity
- A statement of belief in and thanksgiving for Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross
- God blessing us
- Us Blessing God ("I will bless the Lord at all times")
- A prayer using your entire body
- A Bible quote (Matthew 28:19)

With love in Christ.

Bless yourself with the sign of the cross. Using your hand touch forehead, referring to Father, then your chest, (referring to Son). Then you cross it touching left shoulder then right, (referring to Holy Spirit)

It is a way Catholics use to honor the holy trinity.

The Sign of the Cross is what you're referring to.

Hold your right hand open, with your fingers closed.

First touch your forehead, then your heart, your left shoulder, then finish off with your right shoulder.

It's called the 'sign of the cross', and you use your right hand to touch first your forehead, then your heart, then your left shoulder, then your right shoulder.

Lord Darbyshire is close, but there's actually one more step to make it proper and that's returning your hands together in the flat palmed praying position.
