So...I go to college in a small city and have determined that bike riding may be a nifty and fun way to get to class as well as get my self into shape...I was wondering what kind of bicycle would be best. I want something nice but not really top of the line...Keep in mind the college student budget ;) Also, I know how to ride a bicycle but have never really used it as a mode to get to point A to B so my novice may need to be taken into consideration... And on that note are there any tips y'all have on bicycling in general...Sorry my question is so strangely worded I just sort of typed as it came to me.
Thanks in Advance for your help!!!

im very matured and with my own age group i have no real problems, i am very social, very friendly and my brother is currently going to grade 11 in september and when i hang out with him and his friends i have no problems and i get along easy just like im their own age. They would be around 15 and 16..three years older than I. About the schoolwork....its ok for me not as hard as it is for other kids my age.. It seems that i did worse in school this year because my school work was easier so i fooled around more and i think if i get challenged more it will be better. My teacher recommended that i do not skip a grade since i will miss out on a lot of work and school stuff...... but i think im mentally, emotionally, and physically prepared for grade 9. I also think that i can study this summer and get myself academically prepared for the 9th grade. However some say i should and some say i shoudnt.....i needed u ppl out there to help me on this situation....thanks a lot.

I have just recieved my financial aid award letter. I still havent started school just yet. I will be a dependent, full-time student. I live with my mother and brother, or so I did at the time of applying for the aid. Now my question is my mother now has a boyfriend (just boyfriend, not married) and he now lives with us.My mothers boyfriend and my brother are going to buy a house together. Seeing as how we now will own a property and my moms boyfriend makes more money then her, will this affect my financial aid? Or will it not matter becuase neither my moms boyfriend or my brother's income have anything to do with me. . Im sorry if this doesn't make sense..lol

I haven't been to college, and I really want to get a 2 year nursing degree. I have been told that most hospitals will pay for your education if you work for them and then work for them for a period of time afterwards. Anyone have any suggestions. I don't have any college credits. Any schools that are recommended?

I'll be a junior this coming up school year, and I've been thinking alot lately about what's going to happen after graduation. As much as I want to be out of the house, and on my own, there's a part of me that wants to stay for forever. Since the day we were born, we've depended on our parents, friends, etc. and when we graduate we'll be on our own, and in a way we'll have to learn how to live again. We'll have to get used to everything we need not practically being handed to us. We will have to work, and support ourselves, all on our own. Not to mention alot of friendships will be lost, as we all move on, and grow up. It's sad. These are the people we've grown up with. I'll get to my question now. How many of you guys that have already graduated, stayed in contact with friends? How many friends? And to those of you who haven't graduated yet. How do you feel about it?

I know it is used in fairy tales and children's stories with witches in them, but I would like to know the real origin. Was it in a fictional book or was it used in history?
