i attend a community college and they do not offer facebook i was wondering if there was any other way i can get it

Petition for it at your school. There's a link to make a request on Facebook's help page (http://www.facebook.com/help.php). My school just got it a little over a year ago. Someone started a petition and got the Student Government Association involved. We got it within 2 months.
Facebook doesn't have the power to just add whatever school(s) they want, your school has to contact them and accept I think. Or else they would have just added every school in the country.

Well firstly you can request it on facebook. Follow the procedure on the site which is to send them an email from your school email etc. Otherwise, you can try to get an invite for a H.S account which is pretty whack. Try to have your school added.

You could contact Facebook and ask them to add your college but right now you're out of luck.
