Hopefully someone out here who waits tables for a living can figure this one out for me.

I'm a regular at a certain restaurant. I usually get the same server. She is always proficient and polite. She always remembers my usuals. I always tip 20% of the check and am polite and respectful to her.

Despite all of this, she never makes any conversation with me. That fact in itself would not be so significant if it weren't for the following: She almost always initiates chit chats with all of the other regulars, even if they are not in her wait section. If I'm not in her section, she walks right by me like I don't even exist.

Anyone have any speculations as to why she chit chats with everyone but me?

They only have those crummy baked ones now. They used to have the fried ones in the San Jose, CA airport, but they're gone too. Bummer.

Hi, I just saw this American movie in which there was a scene in the kitchen, where this guy fried two slices of bread with cheese in between the two slices. I'm not from US but the idea looks tasty.. what is it exactly and is there anything special in preparation of this fried toast with cheese? Thanks!

All the restaurants in Florida do not have a smoking section anymore. I was just wondering if Texas is the same way.

I've divided them into catergories so it's easier.

MEXICAN
choice 1- very very near house. tex-mex. relatively inexpensive. pretty good food.
choice 2- a little farther away but not too far. authentic. cheap. good.

AMERICAN
choice 1- very near where I live. pretty cheap "normal" food.
choice 2- pretty close to home. same price as choice 1. pretty good food. sometimes live music. haven't been in a while.
choice 3- pretty near my house, pretty good food, pretty fancy though.
choice 4- Expensive/upscale american food pretty near my house. kind of stuffy atmosphere, but pretty good food.

PIZZA
choice 1- mellow mushroom.
choice 2- ok pizza with very thin crispy crust a little farther away with not-so-good atmosphere.
