Hi, I just saw this American movie in which there was a scene in the kitchen, where this guy fried two slices of bread with cheese in between the two slices. I'm not from US but the idea looks tasty.. what is it exactly and is there anything special in preparation of this fried toast with cheese? Thanks!

It's called a grilled cheese sandwich.

You spread butter or margarine LIGHTLY on 1 side of 2 slices of bread.
Place the butter-side face down into a non-stick pan, and a slice of cheese on the top of the bread. "Grill" at medium heat until the cheese starts to melt (keep checking the buttered side so you dont burn it!) and then flip the two slices together and VOILA! You have a classic grilled cheese sandwich!
DEELISHHUSSS with tomato soup!

Here it's called a grilled cheese sandwich. Very popular and easy to make. Put a couple slices of American cheese (or cheese of choice) inbetween two slices of bread, butter the outside of the bread, and fry in a pan until each side is golden brown.

Grilled Cheese! Butter two slices of bread(my sister always puts a little butter in the pan too) and place the cheese of your choice inside and grill until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted. I like to make them with Swiss cheese and tomato's its so good. I also like an original with American cheese, always accompanied with a bowl of tomato soup on the side. YUM!

Grilled Cheese Sandwich!!! They're very good. Spread butter on the sides of the bread that are going to be touching the pan then put cheese in between the bread and cook it until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasty! Grilled cheese is also good if u put some meat on it. I put ham on mine before i grill it!

you can make grilled cheese sandwich in the microwave too..
just toast 2 pieces of bread then take two slices of American, Swiss, any thin sliced cheese, butter the bread and put the cheese inside.
Nuke in the microwave until the cheese starts to melt. Much faster than digging up a pan and it tastes exactly the same.
Alternative.. mix some tuna with mayo.. add to the toast with the cheese and you have an instant tuna melt!! yummmy!!

Its Grilled Cheese! Quite simple and yummy!
Ok warm up your pan to like medium heat.
Grease pan with butter or spread butter on two slices of bread WITH cheese already in between.
Then put sandwhich down in pan and press down with a spatula.
Turn sandwhich over when that side is nice golden Brown color.
Then do same to other side.
Now you have yourself a simple and yummy grilled cheese sandwhich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah it's grilled cheese, medium cheddar is my choice but my dad always uses sharp cheddar. You need to cover the outer sides of the toast with butter before you slap it on the grill, cast iron over a propane flame is best. Great with tomato soup and milk.
