I live in Southern California. Where can you find out online what is going on in the area? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you for your time!

Any type of food is fine, I like everything. I would like places under $10 per person for dinner and $6 for lunch.

There used to be a little tea place called Mocha 'n' Moo that had the BEST bubble tea in Los Angeles, near Cal State University Los Angeles. If you go off of Paseo Rancho Castilla, it's that main road off of that, just beyond the student housing there. There's a main road that has a strip mall with record store, a supermarket, then if you keep going there's a Bank of America across the street and on the other side, there's Mocha 'n' Moo. I know that's really vague, but I just don't remember the street names - it's been a few years! :o)

I'm just curious to find out if anyone has heard of this place, and if so, if they know of it, if it's still open. I used to go with my friends when I was attending grad school there, but I've moved back to Jersey and was just curious to know if it was still open/still there.

Thanks!

How many hours before do I have to make it?

Seating for about 15 - 25 people.

I'm talking about the one in Pasadena, CA.

Any additional information anyone would like to add? That would be great, thanks.

I went to starbucks recently & ordered an ice coffe with milk. The cashier says "Oh you mean a Cafe Con Leche..." I said no I mean an ice coffee with milk.... Then she said oh well thats what its called. Then I said no - I live in the United States, I'm not bi-lingual. I speak English. So with attitude she said, well do you want your cafe con leche or not, so I just walked out...... Am I wrong for feeling insulted?

By moderately priced I mean entrees priced between $10 and $20, so that 2 people could eat a nice meal with wine for $50 or so. I want specifically WESTSIDE restaurants. Some place sweet and romantic, like you would take a date to for an anniversary or special dinner.

I live in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley. I used to go to a wonderful restaurant called The Market Broiler, but they sadly closed some time ago, and since then I haven't been able to find a quality replacement.

The Market Broiler not only served up incredible food, but they did so at quite reasonable prices.

What are my options? I've been to Bubba Gump Shrimp (what replaced Gladstones up at CityWalk) & the food isn't that great (and it's overpriced). Does anyone know of any good local seafood options for a valley guy like myself? I'm willing to drive out of the Valley if need be, but obviously closer to home is better than not.

Thanks! :)

Going to see Los Lobos at Walt Disney Hall on 10.13.06 (yay!). 5 couples want to eat at great Mexican restaurant in Downtown LA. Been to Ciudad, but not really Mexican. La Golondrina on Olvera St. OK, but service is spotty and kind of $$. La Parrilla, Serenata de Garibalidi too out of the way (all but me and wife go downtown regularly). Looking for good selection (not just tacos / enchiladas), quality food and great drinks. Yes, I want to impress my friends.

Its my boyfriends bday this weekend and he loves sushi. I want to take him somewhere nice. I've heard that restaurants like maki maki are corporate so the food isn't that good.

I am going to have a dinner party for my birthday, but the only thing is I do not want to pay for everyone. How do I put it nicely in my invitations that they pay for their own meal?
