As soon as beverages arrive at the table, the oh so distracted, self-involved parent allows their toddler/little one to knock over a beverage, and then expects ME to clean it up!!
Sorry, but years of experience has tought me to take a towel, tray, paper towels, and extra napkins, all at once, and hand it to the parent so they can clean it up themselves!!
I'm sure they can manage it at home, so why not at a restaraunt??
If not, they can sit in the puddle they allowed their child to make!!
Yeay!!!! for experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I once had a customer ask me how long the lake was that the restaurant was on. A female at his table said, "Oh honey, she's just a waitress, she wouldn't know!" What the he**!! I should have asked her what she did for a living, because she didn't know the answer either. I also hate it when you ask if there is anything else you could get them, and everytime you go to the table, they ask for something. Why don't they tell you the first time around!!

I used to wait and thank God I dont anymore!

But I used to hate when an order was taken and after it was put in, the customer changed their minds after....so now as a customer I always say what I want at the very beginning and try not to change it later because I used to hate that.

When one customer asks for ketchup so you go get it, then when you come back and another person asks for a napkin so you ask if anyone else needs anything they all say no and when you bring the napkins someone else asks for more soda. Ask me for everything when i'm there, ah!! And modifications bug me too, order whats on the menu it's there for a reason. Sorry...I've been doing this for waay too long haha!

Couples going out and letting their brat run up and down the restaurant, scream, whatever, while they enjoy their *alcoholic* drinks.

People changing their babies diapers on my restaurant floor in front of all the other patrons.

People who told me it's a shame that I owned a restaurant after how good I did in high school.

People who eat all their food and then demand a free meal because the meal was bad.

Couples that let their kids throw french fries, crackers, and squish baked potatoes into the carpet.

Need I go on?? God I'm glad I retired.

when I am trying to take their order at the drive thru, they set and talk on their cell phone. We are on a timer and need to get them taken care in a short amount of time. They just keep talking. To me this is just rude. We have to just wait, and act like nothing is wrong, because the customer is always right now mater what.

I'm not a waitress, but I know what bothers me about people in restaurants. Loud people and drunken fools. Why don't drunks politely leave and maybe those loud blabbermouths shut up? They're very inconsiderate an I would throw them out if I were manager.

I am a former waitress.
My worst pet peeve are people who let their children misbehave and wander the restaraunt just waiting to get knocked down or have something hot spilled on them.
It is dangerous and inconsiderate for everybody around them.

I use to work at Applebee's, and I had this one guy, God I was willing to lose my job for this jackass.
I remember when his food got there, He had a shrimp fettucine bowl. And he looks at me and says,
Him:"Let me ask you a question. Does this shrimp look cooked to you?"
Me: "Sir, I don't know, I don't eat seafood so I don't know what cooked shrimp would really look like."
Him: "Well you serve it everyday, does this shrimp look cooked to you."
Me: "Sir, I really don't know."
Him: "Well go get your manager so he can tell me if this is cooked or not."
Meanwhile the whole entire time I am talking to him, I was trying to interrupt him to just let him know I can take it back and get the shrimp a little more cooked for him.
So that fiasco was over.
I come back to bring him more tea.
Him: "Let me ask you a question. Does this tea look weak to you?"
Me: "Sir, do you want a new tea, I can bring a new tea if this one doesn't meet your expectations."
I come back with more tea.
Him: "See that looks much better."
Little did he know it was from the same freaking pot, NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL.
Then eventually he gets another server to come get me, because by this time I just wanted this man to leave.
Him: "This is sweet tea, not unsweet tea."
Me: "No sir, I brought you unsweet tea, this is not sweet tea."
Him: "I told you I was drinking unsweet tea and you brought me sweet tea."
Me: "Sir this is unsweet tea."
Him: "Would you like to taste it, because this is sweet tea."
Me: "Do you want me to bring you another tea, that's all you have to ask me to do is bring you another unsweet tea."
Then I eventually tell my manager that he must switch the table with another server. Because if he doesn't I am going to kill this man.
He didn't leave a tip, which came out of the pocket of another server to go to tip out.
I wanted to beat his head in.
