Are you asking about the weird looking squash next to the pumpkins and indian corn??? Those are called Gourds and they are a type of squash.

Carrots are a good halloween vegetable. Or when you cook potatoes add a little food coloring and you can make them look like a ghost.

Pumpy the Halloween Pumpkin, Frosty's nose (carrot), mashed Mr. Potato's head.....well, come to think of it.....just the thought of vegie is scary enough.....'cause kids HATE green vegetables

egg plant could be a good halloween Vegetable. you can even use it like a pumpkincarve it out. It looks nice believew me i done it before.

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. Thus as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.
