Ah, don't believe some of those answers. There are plenty of fun & romantic evenings to be had in LA. My three suggestions:
1. Paradise Cove in Malibu - a relaxed restaurant right on the beach - it's a private beach so you can go walking by moonlight after dinner
2. The Palms on Hollywood Blvd - Fantastic Thai food (very inexpensive) - a performance by an Asian Elvis Impersonator every night at 7:30pm - and then a stroll down Hollywood Blvd to freak watch and make fun of the tourists (also some interesting things to check out like the Erotic Museum!)
3. The best though is The Magic Castle in Hollywood (off of Franklin). You need to ask around and find someone that can get you in - it's by invitation only (but you'll find someone who knows someone easily) - go to dinner and then enjoy the drinks and magic shows - the whole thing is a fun experience and it gives you an excuse to dress up (suit & tie only!).

For a romantic evening, I would always go Orange County. I loved Newport Beach or Balboa Island. Even San Clemente is very nice.

Here is a link to some nice restaurants in the OC.

Hope these help you..

Disneyland is in Anaheim, CA, that's approximately an hour south of l. a.. there's a lot of motels in that surrounding section through park, this is not extremely complicated to locate a sturdy one, as long as you do no longer stay in one owned with the aid of Disney. i might propose The wasteland palms inn and Suites, that's a short walk from Disneyland's significant front.

Windows is a great restaurant on top of the SBC building in Los Angeles. It's got probably the best unobstructed view of LA, from their you can swing over to the Standard for their rooftop bar for cocktails.

When you pick up your date, make sure to take a flower or rose. Go to a nice dinner, such as Cheesecake Factory in Redondo Beach and you can walk the pier after, and make a stop at the beach.

OR
Pick her up and have a flower/rose (Im assuming it is a girl) and you can have a pic nic at the beach with a bonfire (bonfires are allowed at Imperial Beach and Huntington Beach. And you can just spend time with each other.

Check out Ruth's Chris steakhouse in Beverly Hills. Then go out and drive down to Santa Monica pier and check out the sights. After that walk along the beach. You can't go wrong.
