I'm taking my boyfriend there for his 18th birthday. So we won't be drinking but will most likely have a full out meal & dessert. About how much will that cost?

Lately this has been happening to me a lot. I've ordered a food the restaurant was out of. When the server came back to tell me this information, he or she didn't bring along a menu. "What would you like instead?" I don't know! I need a menu to figure this out. Do you have a second choice when you're out? Cause I usually don't.

Have any of you been so disrespected by a guest that it really caused you to lash back out at them??? Last night I had a RUDE party of 5.. They were so awful. They were stacking plate after plate on the clean table next to them, even though I was pre-bussing their table every other minute until I realized that they were doing this as a joke and to really tick me off. When I asked them did they need me to clear anything else she said " I guess we'll have to see but if we have anymore we'll throw them over there so u can get them". And as I was walking away she called me a *****. Has any of you ever been treated this way by a guest?

A recent programme on UK TV told that the Hungy Horse chains and Weatherspoons use meat from a Zebu
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zebu
Although they advertise it as British Beef, would you still eat it if you knew it came from this animal?

Also, do you think we should be told what animal the steak we're eating comes from?

I recently got fired from my last job for not showing up, when others have done this & havent gotten in trouble for it. I had very important business to take care of & I told the hostess over the phone who never told the manager. When I wanted to speak to the manager, she wasnt available so I got the hostess to take a message in which she never delivered.
Would I get in trouble with the law if tomorrow, during this certain hostess & managers shift, I went into the restraunt, got something to eat, complained about the food and accidently "dropped" it ,along with my drink, on the table, leaving a one cent tip??
I know I may be acting a bit childish about this, especially for my age. But this little hostess was once my friend and is also using the company phone to call my cell and say "f*ck you" and offering a fight. Which I believe I should also go to the manager about and possibly get her fired. Shes been trin to get me fired since day 1 but this manager shows her special attention.

I have been serving for several years, but tonight was a particularly strange night. It was like people were in their rarest form. Really, I am looking for people to share stories of crazy customers, or even crazier complaints.
I work at a corporate steakhouse and tonight I had a man order a sirloin well done (which is a tough steak anyway), but when he got his steak, he ate half of it, then complained that it was too tough. What I thought was, "well, obviously," but managed a smile and offered to fix it. As if the man had a point to prove, he cut off another piece, chewed it a couple times and spit it out. Then he said "See, I can't chew it." Besides being repulsed, and getting him a new dinner, I found myself quite amused.

So after this night, I am looking for people to share their stories. I think the best way to deal with these things is to share and laugh it off.

I have waited tables for over 10 years and over the years I have noticed that when people dont enjoy their food they take it out on the server. No matter what I did, making sure their drinks were full, getting them anything they wanted to make them happy they would take it out on me with additude and with the tip... what's up with that? When I go out, I know that the server didn't make the food and screw it up, so why would take it out on the server?

Seems like more often now I am seeing a space on the credit card signature slip for a tip, even though the restaurant is a wait in line, get your food yourself, eat it, and dump the tray type of place. Seems like more places are phishing for tips these days.

Went there yesterday and everyone looked so miserable. Most of them were old people, and they just sit there and don't say anything to each other. It was so quiet. And the servers were just as miserable, and by the way the food tasted like crap. Gosh, miserable Perkins. WHY?
