Why are people so miserable when they eat at Perkins?

Went there yesterday and everyone looked so miserable. Most of them were old people, and they just sit there and don't say anything to each other. It was so quiet. And the servers were just as miserable, and by the way the food tasted like crap. Gosh, miserable Perkins. WHY?

I think it depends on the restaurant. The one I used to frequent in Freehold NJ had excellent food (for what it was) and good waitstaff. One of the owners (two brothers) always seemed to be there, day or night.

Because they were once young and happy and went to places like Applebee's or The Roadhouse Bar and Grill but now that they are old they have to go to places like Denny's or Perkin's and sit and look sad, thinking about once how they were able to eat really good food, and now had been reduced to eating that junk they serve at perkins at a senior's rate.

hahaha, because perkins started as a truck stop.
The food is just like Denny's or whatever, no flavor, processed, hormone food. Its gross. Gotta go organic like in santa cruz, ca. read up on your health!
Also, back to Perkins- It's like the saying goes, "Once a truckstop, always a truckstop". sorry, its the truth.

Wow that's not good. . The food is not all bad.. I have had it in South Carolina when i visit my sister... Oh well, I hope next time you go in there you cheer those seniors up! Maybe that's what they need, someone to listen to them and a friendly server!

because Perkins (which used to be prety good) has decided to raise their prices and LOWER their standards of Flavor.
They used to give a TON of french fry's. Now u lucky if you get 10 french fries with your burger!!!!
