20 year server here...they should bring you a menu. That's only common sense. But humans being humans, we're not perfect and some times make a mistake. I would just kindly ask to see a menu...then if they didn't bring me one I'd adjust the tip or speak to a manager. I'd never leave because of it though. Why should I further disrupt my life by having to get in the car, drive to another restaurant, to start the whole dining out thing over again. Maybe I'm just to easy going.

Unless you go to a " corner restaurant " place, the server always brings the menu. When something is out, he's supposed before hand and let you know, therefore give you back the menu!

That's just laziness. They should be able to recommend something similar and bring you a menu. I never have a second choice because I'm not ordering 2 dinners.
