Hopefully someone out here who waits tables for a living can figure this one out for me.

I'm a regular at a certain restaurant. I usually get the same server. She is always proficient and polite. She always remembers my usuals. I always tip 20% of the check and am polite and respectful to her.

Despite all of this, she never makes any conversation with me. That fact in itself would not be so significant if it weren't for the following: She almost always initiates chit chats with all of the other regulars, even if they are not in her wait section. If I'm not in her section, she walks right by me like I don't even exist.

Anyone have any speculations as to why she chit chats with everyone but me?

Do my guests pay for their own share, I mean. It doesn't make sense to me, since *I* am the one who invited them for *my* birthday, therefore shouldn't I be the one to be paying the bill?

They only have those crummy baked ones now. They used to have the fried ones in the San Jose, CA airport, but they're gone too. Bummer.

I do understand that in some situations, like if the food was totally mixed up, really bad, or if the server has been rushing you and giving you crap all night long, management helps out your problems.

Do you feel that it is wrong that a customer skips out on their bill even though everything has gone right?

I am a waitress in training, and I even mentioned to the customers if they were okay with me as their waitress for the evening and all. It wasn't a busy night, never ignored them, suggested feature menu items, never got their orders wrong, (they were very specific assholes too) and above all asked them how was the food, if everything was okay, and if they needed anything else.

I even said if there was anything wrong just let me know and I can fix it for them and they said NO NOTHING!!!!!!

They even seemed to be happy and all too and ate ALL OF THEIR FOOD! But they ran out, without paying their food.

Now did I do anything wrong or is it them? That meal came out of MY PAYCHECK!!

Any suggestions to what names would be good?
it will have all these features:
regular & vegan menu
Lots of coffee stuff,
will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner & night entertainment.
Full bar in seperate room than the cafe part.

I have most of it ready to go I just can not find a name that fits.
The color theme of it is darker colors(plum, blue and black) with brighter colors for employees uniforms and paintings and light fixtures.

Now I do like fast food. I live in Detroit, Michigan. Now my mother has always told me she doesnt like to buy fast food becuase it's so screwed here in the fast food business. I'm quoting her, not being racial "If ya buy food around black people, you'll get the worst service. If you go too far out in the suburban restaurants, you'll be afraid that the white people have spit in ya food. Now what's intersting is that.... haven't came across a decent meal from a fast food restaurant yet. Just recently, I went to a Little Caesars in Detroit and when I got home to eat it, it looked like someone just poked their fingernails all through it. I ate one or two slices and I was nauseaed the whole evening. Then at a McDonalds in the city, I ordered a quarter Pounder and when I ate it, I felt nauseaed later on as it tasted like someone's breath was all over it. Someone please help me, as I under a Fast Food dilenma.
