Recently the picture on my Sony TV, @ 8 years old, began "shrinking" to the top of the screen. After a few moments the screen was black. There is audio the whole time.

I've recently purchased a new HDTV television that supports 720p and 1080i (but not 1080p, unfortunately).

At any rate, which is better (720p or 1080i), or does it not make a difference?

I've noticed that our electricity consumption has almost doubled since we got sky, so I was just wondering if its ok to unplug the sky box at night to lower how much electricity is used by said device, or will that either A, erase all the channels and settings or B, cause us to be charged for a new subscription.

I have a 25'' philips magnavox TV. When you turn it on, it shuts itself off immediately. I dont think its the on/off button because it shuts off using the remote as well as the button. Any suggestions what to look for? Thanks.
