If you actaualy have a DVD combo player as your question suggest you cant...DVD plyer only plays, you need a DVD combo recorder.

I am assuming you have a saved game (Playstation,XBox, Nintendo etc.) recorded on a VHS tape that you want to have for review purposes, you simply put the tape in the VHS player, a blanlk DVD in the DVD recorder ( has to be a recorder - advd player wont copy) select VHS drive on your DVD recorder and press the copy or dub button to go from VHS to DVD. If you select DVD drive and then press record on dvd side and play on VHS player, odds are it will not record anything.

If you are trying to copy or make up a back up copy of an actual program on a disk, You cannot use a table top( VHS/DVDRecorder combo or DVD burner) DVD recorder to copy a Game, you need a computer with a CD ROM drive and DVD Recorder. This is for two reasons, 1) the game is most likely copy-protected and the the DVD recorder won't let you do any copyright protected media without a special converter AND it will not read a CDROM or DVDROM signal anyway, thus it cannot copy it.

not extremely. Such contraptions are designed to be utilized by using folk with little or no technical sophistication, and twin-layer discs in simple terms scream for wisdom on the component to the person. I extremely have 3 Sony DVD recorders. certainly one of them is an RDR-GX315, that's meant to checklist on twin-layer discs, yet i've got in no way tried it, and haven't any prompt reason to take action. I extremely have extra suitable than my share of worry with undesirable single-layer blanks, and no opt to waste much extra money on defective twin-layer ones.
