I am curious why speakers and headphones are marked left and right. Does it really make a difference? I've put my left ear bud in my right ear, and vice versa, and I didn't notice a difference.

I have a iPod Mini, and i've never used iTunes on it (I've always used Winamp to put my songs on it because my computer didn't meet the requirements for iTunes) and I just got iTunes, and I'm about to buy the new iPod video - BUT... i'm worried that I will lose all of my songs! Is it possible to save all the songs on the iPod to your computer, since I usually delete the songs off my computer once I put them on my ipod... and how can I do this?

I have recorded the audio from four cassettes, and I am wondering if I can burn a single CD so that there are four "albums" on it, one for each cassette. My stereo doesn't play MP3, so that's not an option. Just wondering if that was possible.

The discs are in perfect condition, but I have two systems that do this. The home stereo does it after a few hours of playing, and the car stereo does it on every CD about five minutes after starting (even if I start it toward the end or somewhere besides the beginning.)

The symptoms: Music continues to play as expected, except it is accompanied by rather loud noises that sound somewhat like a record player when you bump it while it's playing-- loud, low-pitched static. In the car this lasts for a few minutes and then goes away. The home stereo does it until you turn it off for a few hours. My sister described the noise in the car as something trying to scratch its way into the bottom of the car.

The CD players aren't picky about which CDs they'll do it on...it's more of how long they've been playing. No damage appears to be done to the CDs, they work just fine in other CD players. They are not dirty or scratched, I checked already.

(please wait to comment --I have more)

I have a huge library but it doesn't work with iTunes. Is there any software or maybe an older version of iTunes that will let me play my music without the original files?

I want to surprise my fiance with an iPod for Christmas. However, I'm on a budget. I'm looking for something with great quality, but at a reasonable price. Does anyone know how well the quality is for this particular iPod?

my sony MDR-V250 headphones were about 3 weeks old when they suddenly stopped working. One day i went to a party and handed them to a friend to put in her bag. When I got them a little later, I plugged them in and heard nothing. Nothing seems to be torn or anything...no wetness or anything...

What caused it, and is it fixable? Did I seriously spend 30 bucks for nothing? :[
