i have a collection of dvds and i would like to put them on the zen i will soon purchase. i no that you canot do this on the ipod but i was wondering if it was possible on the zen

Hmm you could put videos on both the Zen Vision and Video iPod. I could tell you that Zen Vision supports more video format (like mpg, divx, xvid) whereas iPod only supports quicktime (mov).
All video converter software allows you to put DVDs to the various formats which you portable video player will support.
To determine which is better, there is no right or wrong, Creative has a bigger screen and expansion card slot (for CF and other media card using an adaptor) where iPod could not do that.
Creative has most functions(FM, voice recording) and iPod(no FM and voice recording) has the design looks (nice and sleek look)

i dont know where u heard that u cant put your own dvds on an ipod video. or do u mean all the ipods except the ipod video? any way u can do this on the i pod. why would u want a zen? get a ipod video trust me u wont be sorry!! is it because of the price? if the ipod is more epensive get it anyway the qaulity is so much better!! if u want the zen then go to avsmedia.com well first if dont have any dvds already on the hard drive of ur computer then u will have to get nero nero.com nero7 ultra editon alllows u to put dvds on ur hard drive so u can do whatever u want with them like putting them on the ipod or a cellphone even. so do that first also go to anydvd.com and get the copy protection removal software then use nero and u will have to transfer them to Im not sure about the zen but its probably mpeg4 the whole process is very easy I know it might sound hard but its not email me if u get stuck!! i will be happy to help! :)
