Ok...

I can use any of the following from my DVD:
S-Video, Component Video(Red, Green, Blue), Composite Video (Red,White,Yellow)

I can input to the following on the projector:
S-Video, VGA, Composite Video (Red,White,Yellow)

I need to get the signal down a 10m cable... I was about to buy an RGB to VGA cable thinking that would be the best one...

What do you think?

I know that a widescreen DVD on a regular TV causes black bars to be on the top and bottom but does something similar happen with a full-screen DVD on a widescreen DVD?

I am in the market for creating a home theater system. I have found some speakers that I like but I am not sure if they will work with my a/v reciever. The speakers are as follows: Fronts, E-710's{frequency range-38HZ to 20KHZ}, Rears, E-78's{frequency range 40HZ to 20KHZ}, Center, E-75C{frequency range 60HZ to 20KHZ}, and I already have a LW 12 powered subwoofer. My reciever is 130 watts per channel, frequency range 20HZ to 20KHZ.{the frequency range for the dvd input on the reciever is 10HZ to 100KHZ, if that helps. Will the speakers that I have just mentioned work, or what should I be looking for then. these are all Cerwin-Vega speakers.

I want to buy my mom some speakers to hook up to her TV for Christmas because she can barely hear her tv right now, the volume on the tv itself is just very blah. We can have it turned clear up and still barely hear it.

So what should I look for in a home system then? Not something too expensive but I don't want it to be cheap sound quality either. I'm not quite sure what amount of wattage I should look for and what not. Any recommendations?

Our DVD player for the TV died yesterday and I was thinking of replacing it with one that has a built in hard drive. So I can then store films / programmes at the touch of a button and also record them with the built in DVD recorder... but which make?

Appreciate your input!

Hi, I purchased a projector with a lamp life of 3000 hours. We use it about 10 hours a day, so approx. 10 months it should last.. i checked online, and the replacement lamp is $300!!! So I was wondering, what does it mean lamp life? Does it mean, after 3000 hours it won't work at all... or it'll work but not recommended to use because quality has just degraded? I can live with quality degration. Anyone know where to get cheap lamps.. the newer the projector, are the lamps cheaper? Or the older?
