I was looking to buy a PS3 and noticed a Cooling Fan that "prevents potentially dangerous overheating of your console", really thought, how serious is this problem? and why can't it just cool itself with its own internal fan?

This is a pretty dumb question, but yeah, I'm not too sharp on tech stuff, and I was thinking about getting a PS3... So, is it worth paying an extra $100 for 80gigs? And why? Thanks :)

hello everybody,im getting ready to buy the playstation 3 as a gift for my husband for christmas.i need a little help since english is not my first language.i want to buy the 60gb model i read that there is a software and hardware ps2 compatibility what does that means?which one is better software or hardware?is it gonna play even the games for ps2?if not its not a problem cuz i have it.so what exactly do i have to look for in the box when i buy it .i hope i wrote good enough i thank u very much all for the help and the time

I want to buy a PS3 but i don't know which to get. I play Madden and NCAA 08 on ps2 so i would like it to be able to play those games. I really don't understand the difference in the 60gb and the 80gb besides more memory space. So far from what i see i want the 60gb but i can't find it. If i get the 80gb would that be an upgrade or down grade in gaming quality.

The card isn't full of memory, but it does have a few games on it. Whenever I am trying to save games or start a new save file on a game, it will say loading for a second then say that there isn't a card inserted even when I pushed it in super hard. I can't save anything on it, although sometimes it will let me load previously saved games. Please help me!?!?!?!?

It wont play Motor Storm on it. When I pop it in, it acts like it it is going to start, but then it just goes to a black screen. I left it like that for a while but nothing happened. PLease help.

The system seems to "run".. you can hear it .. and the lights are on.. door works.. but nothing comes on the tv screen.. ( just a few lines) has worked perfectly in the past.. anyone have some ideas as to how to get it up and working again? thanks in advance..we've changed tvs, power cords all with same results....

I don't know what's wrong with it, I got the PS3 yesterday, and the game that currently isn't working is Madden '08. In the PS3 manual, it says that you CAN'T play PS2 games, but from other sources, I think I should be able to.

Help is appreciated.

I have 3 games I want to put on my PC, Medieval total war 2, Sim City 4, and Call of Duty 4... My PC meets all of the PC's requirements and I have 1 GB of ram and 250 GB of hard drive, so I have plenty of Space. But if I download them all to my PC, when I playing a game, will it be slower since I have other games downloaded to it?

I read online a month or two ago that there was a pretty healthy rumor that the Wii was going to be slightly reduced in price (permanently) starting around Christmas. Is there still any truth to this? I want one, but if they're going down a little bit, I'll hold off (not that I have a choice - I still haven't been able to find one in my area).

Has anybody else had this problem? When I try to turn on my ps3, it beeps three times, the light changes from red to green, but then immediately shuts back off and turns red. I've tried using both the power button and the eject button to turn it on.
