Cell Phones & Plans - June 2007

I have a RAZR now, but I really dont like it. I have the optional $5 dollar insurance. Anyone know how I can get a new phone w/o having to pay full price for a new one.

i dropped my phone while i was walking down the street, realized it fell when i was a few feet away from it, of course it landed in a driveway, with a car that was backing up, and the dumbass in the car ran over my phone!! it still works, thank god, but the back is completely scratched and some parts are cushed also. is it possible to just replace the back of a phone?

I am going to get a new cell phone tonight. I was thinking about the razor (i know it is "out" but I don't care) I like how it looks. Would you advise against it? the other one I was thinking about was the krazor but that is 30$ more.. what do you suggest?

I heard that Verizon has now promised that if you find a spot where you don't have service you can tell them and they will pay for all your calls and let you switch to a new carrier for free.. is that true?

I have seen the I phone on TV and im very intrested. I just need ot know so information on the phone.. Like, who is the service carrier and what kind of plans are there?Also, can you text and is there AIM? I recently have the sidekik 2 and i like it but im thinking if i should ge the sidekick 3 or the I phone. I am aware of the price and the ipod capabilities. But, i would liek ot know why i should get the I Phone or the Side kick 3. i liek them both and my mother is planning on getting me one for my birthday. So i need to know right away.

I know some sites Ringtones aren't compatible with Sprint but could someone recommend a site I can go to for a really good choice of ringtones for my Sprint cell. One girl in the Library had a ringtone that was kind of cool it had a song telling her she was getting a phone call but I can't remember how it went--but whatever. TIA

Luckily I have AT&T if i decide to get one. I have an mpx200 and was looking to get a mpx220, but only another company had them. Are the service providers (SP) trying to send their customers elsewhere? Are the phone mfgs spreading the love so they can keep all the SPs happy. How do they determine who gets to sell the a particular model from mfgX? Do they bid for the selling rights? It's kinda stupid.

My Moto Q software crashed on May 5th, sent it to Motorola on 5/7 and now Motorola can't give me a status on it. They have literally refused to help me get it back. No status, no updates and I'm without a phone. I've tried using the customer support link on the website and I've left 13 messages but I haven 't gotten a response. I've asked for a Customer Service Mgr but I have not been connected to them. I want to escalate this issue as high as possible in order to get my phone back. I'll take the phone number and email of anyone in mgmt at Motorola who can help me.
