Luckily I have AT&T if i decide to get one. I have an mpx200 and was looking to get a mpx220, but only another company had them. Are the service providers (SP) trying to send their customers elsewhere? Are the phone mfgs spreading the love so they can keep all the SPs happy. How do they determine who gets to sell the a particular model from mfgX? Do they bid for the selling rights? It's kinda stupid.

wireless carriers and providers have bidding rights on devices they will initially test, and approve to be used on that service. example at&t has purchased the exclusivity for the apple iphone for 5 years. it can only be a cingular/att phone.

AT&T paid Apple a lot of money to be the exsclusive seller of the iphone...in business it is just another way to make phone for all parties involved!
