Consumer Electronics - 9 January 2007

I got a Tivo for Christmas and I had an active button on my regular receiver which aloud me to get the weekly forecast for my area and lotto #'s, etc........ The Tivo remote doesn't have an active button on it.... is this menu somewhere else and how do I get to it??

My computer came with iTunes. At one point it kept nagging me to download the latest version and I did so, the newest 7 version. For some reaosn my computer hated it, so I got rid of it. Now, I have an iPod. I went to download iTunes and it didn't work. I went through and followed all the steps that the apple website states to uninstall and then reinstall iTunes. Nothing has worked. I even cleared it all and then downloaded an older 6 version because that's what my computer intially came with. It says it downloads fine, but when I open it, I get a message saying, "iTunes has encountered a problem and must shut down." And you are given the option of sending an error report to Microsoft.

I really have no idea what to do and it's getting VERY frustrating. I have an iPod that I can't use : ( Any help would be greatly appreciated please.

I have the $39.99, 450 anytime minutes plan and would like to add a line (at the advertised $9.99 a month + whatever activation fees), but it seems like I can only add a line by upgrading to the "family talk plan", which is $69.99 and comes with two lines automatically plus more minutes. I don't want to upgrade. I rarely use even half of the minute I already have, why would I want any more minutes? Some advice would be appriciated.

is it really cheaper to buy a new tv then replace a picture tube in
your old tv? i have a "newer" tv, we have had it about 2/ 21/2 years
and the picture tube is already going out and it was bought brand new. and i have older tvs, way older, that are just fine. where is the since in that? i was wondering which way was cheaper, my husband said buying a new tv was cheaper but i thought he was

Do you suggest getting the iPhone for it's camera? I mean I've heard the 8GB is $600, and a good new camera can be $450. So $150 isn't bad for an MP3 + Cell/Smartphone

So is the iPhona's camera good enough that you could use it as a regular camera?

I just went back to the Nokia non-flip phone last year because I couldn't stand the horrible reception and dropped calls, so I am hesitant to change phones since the one i have is working fine. Bit the 6030 looks cool! Any advice?
