I got a Tivo for Christmas and I had an active button on my regular receiver which aloud me to get the weekly forecast for my area and lotto #'s, etc........ The Tivo remote doesn't have an active button on it.... is this menu somewhere else and how do I get to it??

I read that dang instructions from top to bottom and still can't find it. It took me 2 hrs to get the remote set for our new TV.

It is a Directv Tivo.... that's what the question says... durrrrrr

I know some of the other Tivos have the regular remote like the regular receiver ones, that just have a record button on them. wth what a bunch of bs.

It says its a DVR but has the Tivo logo on the receiver.

No, the active feature is proprietary to the DirecTV brand receivers ONLY... the DirecTV Tivo nor any other older receivers support this. it is a neat feature though... you shouldn't have gotten the DirecTV Tivo, dont get me wrong, I choose directv tivo ANY DAY over the DirecTV DVR, but unfortunately directv is planning on dropping the directv tivo sometime this year, that is why my third unit I made it the Directv DVR.

Honestly, i dont know. I have TiVo also, but i dont use that feature..
Well, my remote all the way at the top has a direcTV button that looks like an emblem, but its a real button. Is it that? Otherwise, i really dont know!
