whats the BIG difference between playstation 3 and playstation 2? my daughter has the playstation 2, she is 8 years old. does the games for playstation 2 work on the playstation 3? who is buying it for their child?

If I have listened to say half a track on CD, and then stop, very frustrating to come back the next day and, not having used the pause button since I might not be back for a day or more, then having to fast forward through the track to find my place. Tracks on books on CD can be very long. Any players out there with the feature of being able to be back at the same spot...like our car radio does? Thanks...

The battery has been for about 9 months and all I have is a usb sync cable. When I connect it, it loads something, gets almost done, and freezes. Occasionally when I do a hard reset I get some message about the sd card.

When I'm listening to a song, sometimes it will cut out little bits of the song, much like a cd that skips. and other times, it has cut off the entire end of a song! and when i try to go back to replay the song, it still won't play the song till the end. i got my ipod last christsmas, so it isn't that old! i've also been keeping it in a case for the last few months, so it's not that beat up. what could be wrong?
