Consumer Electronics - 9 November 2006

Since I am new in photography, I want to start from DSLR camera, easier for me, but I confuse with these 2 brands Nikon and Canon, every people advice differently, my budget is USD 1500, and my interest is taking a Photo Model/Women. Any camera type/model recommend ?

I am considering these 2 cameras. K-M 7D is 6.1pixels. Sony Alpha is 10.8, however, pixels beyond 6mp might be overkill. I rarely enlarge past 8x10. Does anyone have either camera? Can you tell me pros and cons? I like the features and rugged look of the 7D. The Sony is light, but I wonder about dropability.

damn. i am so annoyed with myself!!!
my create zen mp3 player just stopped working. the touchpad won't work, and it won't turn on or off. it just shows the creative logo on the screen permanently.
i accidentally dropped it about 15 minutes before this happened but why did it work for 15 minutes and then suddenly stop working?

"Do not disconnect" message doesn't show up and theres no indication the computer recognizes it.It works with fire wire but the problem is my lap top doesn't have a fire wire port.I've tried other cables and nothing happened, it used to work fine until i installed itunes 7,so i installed itunes 6 and nothing, tried 5 R's...nothing.
Can someone help me because i restored factory settings and there's no music on the ipod at all...

how can i hook up 6 ohm speakers to an 8 ohm amp. i heard wiring in parallel can cause back emf and stuff like that. is there any what i can do this with out running any risk of damanging anything? is there a way to increase the ohm ratings of my speakers? i dont' want to run any risk what so every of hurting anything thanks, oh ya this is in home audio

My birthday is in 3 weeks and I asked for a new iPod. Well, I got my present early, and it was not an iPod. It is an mp3 player that looks like an iPod kind of. My mom claims that she thought it was an iPod.

Anyway....
the iPod I wanted was a 2GB silver for 150 dollars
my mp3 player was 127 dollars, and is a video and mp3 player. But it only holds up to 7 music videos and 500 songs.

Is the mp3 player worth it? Is it just as good as the iPod? I think so. I mean, it is just like an iPod. Just a little different looking, but it is pretty much the same.

Bought an ipod nano 1GB,
the CD is corrupted, when tried to install software itunes 7.2 from site it says .exe is not a valid win32 application.
On connecting ipod to pc it says 'high speed usb device plugged into a non high speed hub'
As well as my ipod shows 'Do not disconnect'

I'm doing a little bit of research. I'm on prepaid with tracfone and its costing about .25 cents a minute and I want something better. Is it worth it to go to a regualr plan? I'm looking into cingular and their pay as you go seems to be about the same. I looked at the regular plan and it seems to come out to .08 cents a minute. I just need a litle advice to those of you who have plans or have gone through all this and know what is the best. Thanks!

I own 3 Cing. Razr, I have one and both of my teens have one, I pay an extra $10.00 a month for both my kids so it's a total of $20.00 to have media basic. The sales person tells me yeah 400 messages which is fine and she tells me you can access to the internet and check scores, movies get ring tones play games listen to music, oh yeah ( they forget to tell you, there is a charge for all this, my son downloaded a new ring tone for 3.99 what a deal. It really pisses me off, she was deleberley deciving. I did not think to say "well is there a charge for any of these fun things to do" For Everything, what a joke. If you get a brand new phone don't for get to ask that stupid question. Any one out there agree ?

ok, sony a100 has nt satisfied me to the 700£ extend I wished , but I got all the minolta lenses and other minolta-sony stuff.
I was just asking if anyone knows when the next model will be out, any specs, any price range, dates, etc

I ve been searching a bit but nothing official. after all it is only 6 months after a100's release and people have to realise what a bad choice it is before moving to the next!!
only reason I bought it was the minolta legacy, improved antishake and sony's guarantee for quality electronics. I think I will be selling it through ebay anytime now.
