I have a lot of songs on it (over 3000), so it always takes forever and slows down my computer, so i end up getting frustrated and cancelling it. it's getting pretty annoying, so how do i make it stop?

"determine gapless playback information"

that's it.

Have you had a crappy Mp3 player before? If you have you may have noticed that between songs on it there was a gap sometimes as long as 30 seconds. The iPod formats your songs so that the music is closer together to limet dead time.

I really don't know how to get it to stop, I don't acctually have a iPod but that is what the gapless play back is. I would set a playlist to record on to the iPod then go to sleep or do somthing else while it loads up.

Exactly as Timothy said above. It makes a seamless transition between songs so that there is no annoying pause between songs. I also don't think that you can turn off this option or atleast I haven't found a way to yet. Good luck
