I just got my new phone and I am trying to connect it to the computer, so I can upload some songs on the memory card. I put in the memory card, pluged each end into the usb cord, and when I go to 'My Computer' to click on my phone, it's not there! It's like it's not even plugged in and connected. What's wrong??

Ok I asked a question before about getting a digital camera but didn't get a strait forward answer so Ima rephrase it. I want the best camera possible but it still has to be compact and cute. LOL! Price is not an issue. Can anyone make any suggestions? I have a sony cybershot DSC P200 and a sandisk memory card. Is it possible to transfer the pictures on my computer to the memory card so that i can store it on the memory?

A bank employee told me that people often come into the bank complaining of issues with their bank cards. They wonder why their card is not working because it looks like it is fine.
The bank employee told me that she explains to customers that cell phones can cause issues with the data strip on most credit cards.
Is this true and, if so, how does this happen? Is it the radiation, the waves emitted from the phone ? What ?

I have a Sony Digital Camcorder that has zoom. I realized that I take many photos than I do movies so I started looking at Digital Cameras. Typically cameras advertise 3x optical plus 2X digital zoom this is a far cry from the 10X Optical and 120X digital that my camcorder advertises. My question is, are the numbers measuring the same thing? Is 3X Optical on a Digital Still camera the same as 3X Optical on a Camcorder?

I'm in the US, and I was told that dvb-s cards don't work in that states. Now, I want to know how can I do it then. I going to be building a new htpc in the next few months and satellite seems to be the best bet for my bugdet, but I don't want to buy the hardware and be stuck. Please help me out! I just want regular digital satellite. No HD! I'll do that later when I have the cash to do it.

Every time i look for polyphonic ringones some of them show up as midi/polyphonic ringtones and they are the best ones that i have come across. How do i get those ringtones onto my cell phone?

Cingular sold me a "Data Cable" so that I can download pictures and video from my cell phone to my notebook computer. I followed all of the installation instructions and NOTHING! I called Cingular for assistance and the customer service rep told me that everything he has on it says that the Data Cable is to be used for just that... but he doesn't have any notes on HOW to do it.

In all of my goofing around with the software and my phone, all I have been able to find is that the Data Cable is so that you can use Cingular's wireless (GPRS) service with your notebook.

Also: The nice guy at Cingular said he'd give me a $6.00 credit so that I can just email the pictures and video to my email address but that doesn't work because you have to have that service activated!

My cell phone is dying a slow death and I have the new replacement (under warranty) phone and I need to ship back my old phone. I don’t want to loose these precious pictures of my toddler.

HELP!?!?!

I have a High Defenition DVR from Directv. I would like to archive my recordings in HD to my computer. I know the information is encrypted but does anyone know if there is a software out there that can accomplish this?
