About a week ago for no reason at all my sky remote stopped doing anything on my TV just the sky box.

Chances are the batteries are a little ropey - you should probably replace them. Once you have your remote control needs to be set up for your television.
You can either call Sky who will talk you through it (the number is in the Services menu) or you can go to the link below where there are instructions.

Your remote is for some reason not programmed in to your TV .There is a code which you need to enter into your sky remote. This code is determined by the model number of your TV you could ring Sky and tell them the make and model of the TV and they will give you the code and tell you how to enter it into the remote.

our remote does that we have to use the tv remote that came with the tv a lot of people have this problem my boyfriend says their is a code you have to find to get it to work ,he also says if you ring sky they will tell you how to do it :)

your remote may have become "de-synced" with your tv. you need to track down the remote code for you tv. do a google search for remote control sky codes and it should bring up a website for all the brands of tv and how to "re-sync" it

there is a number in the sky welcome pack that you need to programme your tv in - you could probably get the code on the net
i have to say though that when we got a new tv the code change never recognised it - so we need to use the tv remote to change the volume

Mine too. We now need about 12 remotes to work our TV, video and DVD. They are scattered all over the living room and my naughty son hides them in the washing machine.

Batteries maybe. Get a new remote, phone sky up. they have to come round to your house and fix it. !!

because some one has pressed the big blue sky button look in the manual it will tell you what code to put in if not tell me what make of TV you have i will give you the code

call sky or check the connection sometimes unplugging then plugging the sky box back in work s for us

My remote is exactly the same i have to use the t.v. remote for the volume
