Cingular sold me a "Data Cable" so that I can download pictures and video from my cell phone to my notebook computer. I followed all of the installation instructions and NOTHING! I called Cingular for assistance and the customer service rep told me that everything he has on it says that the Data Cable is to be used for just that... but he doesn't have any notes on HOW to do it.

In all of my goofing around with the software and my phone, all I have been able to find is that the Data Cable is so that you can use Cingular's wireless (GPRS) service with your notebook.

Also: The nice guy at Cingular said he'd give me a $6.00 credit so that I can just email the pictures and video to my email address but that doesn't work because you have to have that service activated!

My cell phone is dying a slow death and I have the new replacement (under warranty) phone and I need to ship back my old phone. I don’t want to loose these precious pictures of my toddler.

HELP!?!?!

My phone does not have blue tooth capabilities. My new phone is also a Nokia 6102b as it is still under warranty (only 3 months old).

It is not a problem with my computer... this is also very new. The issue is, I believe, the data cable they sold me. They will not allow me to return it because I ordered it on-line and get a substantial discount on accessories due to a contract Cingular has with my employer.

According to Nokia website, they didn't have software for 6102b. They only have 6102 and 6102i. You may contact Cingular and check which place could get the correct software.

I'm pretty sure the Nokia 6102b has bluetooth with the b at the end.

If it does, buy a bluetooth USB dongle for $30-$40 and transfer the photos using bluetooth. The manual will hopefully explain things better than I can.

your missing the most important part, the progarm for your computer.

take back that data cable to Cingular, and goto bestbuy, for 69.99, that havea universal cable and a program so you can do this. because its a universal, your new phone should work with it too.
