Im on Windows XP Pro but am thinking of going to Vista Home Premium, But theres 4 different types, Premium 32 bit oem, 64 bit oem Full edition (32 bit with info on obtaining 64 bit) and an upgrade edition, I don't mind formatting my drive and starting a fresh but which version do I go for???????? I think i'm right in saying stay away from the oem version as this is for brand new systems so whats the difference between the full editon and the upgrade edition apart from about £60

I run Windows XP Pro. I've regularly used Remote Desktop to connect to my machine from work. Suddenly one day it just stopped 'listening'.

I have tried booting in same mode, removing the check box to allow RD, then restarting and adding it again. I've tried replacing the terminal service DLLs with the ones found online to do the multi-RD connections to a single machine. I've tried making my router go to my laptop for port 3389 which then works (although connects to my laptop and not my desktop).

Running netstat -ab shows that 3389 is no longer listening on my desktop even if the check box to allow RD is checked or not. On my laptop this will change if the check is checked, 3389 listens, uncheck it goes away. I've tried doing some searching on google and have come up short, hoping somone else has run in to this and has a fix.

hi i have vista and i have downloaded a few torrents and i can open video files no problem,but when i try to open a program such as a demo of nero is says its a dc file but when i try to open it i get windows media centre open up,hopefully someone can help

I have the aforementioned Mac running system. I would like to download mxit onto my computer. I am told I need mpowerplayer to do this. when i download this, it tells me my java is not version 2, so I download version 2, but i need mac version 10.4.0. what can i do? how else can i get mxit, or where can I update my java? I want to start using my Outlook and like start it up. So in the start-up it says if it is Microsoft Exchange Server, POP3, IMAP, HTTP, or additional Server Types. I have no idea which one to choose. Can i still installing windows vista with the following condition:
1.Windows XP is maintained.( Hard Disk C:)
2.Windows Vista is installed in another Hard Disk named Hard Disk D.
3.The Hard disk D: still having files containing inside.So, the hard disk D: is not empty.
4.The Hard Disk D: has 20GB more space left.

So, the problem is here:
1.Can i still installing windows vista with my non-empty hard disk which has 20GB more left.
2.Do i need to reformat the hard disk D: before installing Windows Vista.(3.how to format a hard disk?)

Well i can play "movie clips" files and it runs fine but when i try to play a "video clip" file i cant see the visuals. When i right click on the visuals that arent there it shows " no visualisations" I donnot no what to do ..... !!!!!

People say that it is stealing, BUT this music can be copied forever so why is it stealing, if that were stealing then if I wanted I could copy the computer i'm typing at!!! And its not even a material, it is a sound wave file on a computer, what I can put a tax on stealing my AIM icon but no, the people say thats free and GIVE AIM USERS A GODDAMN BUTTON FOR IT!!! Consider this message please and STOP PEOPLE FROM BEING CHEAP!!! Its just a scam so pop stars or Itunes can get more money!!! At what expense? Oh just 50% of their users!!! And if I get a message in my E-mail about me doing it I'm NOT!!! I'm just really pissed at Itunes for being unfair.
