I would try the following before you "panic"
Unplug the mouse and plug it back in, with the pc turned off. Ensure you have a good connection.
Ensure you have the mouse (if optical) on a non-shiny surface
Go to:
Control Panel
Printers and other hardware
Mouse
Ensure the double click speed is relatively low, around the halve way mark.
Ensure that click lock is removed
Use the hardware tab at the top to ensure the device is working normally.
If all of the above is normal and correct then I would look at the mouse for damage. See if it has been dropped.
Also try to plug in a new mouse, your "old" mouse will start to break after time.
If all the above fails then yes I would look into running a decent virus scan.

Starcraft: Brood War features a new ladder, single player campaigns, tilesets, SCX's, upgrades, and units. The Brood War ladder runs along side the existing one, so players without Brood War will only be able to compete in the current ladder. There are no new buildings; new units and their upgrades will be accessed through current buildings.
