I guess you are asking about download managers. I myself use the free version of DAP, because it is the easiest to use. It does not really speed up my downloads, but constantly maintains it at the highest possible rate. There are loads others, like FlashGet, Free Download Manager, Fresh Download Manager etc., all of which are free. FlashGet has the best reputation among all, but I am yet to know how to operate it. So, get yourself what you want. DAP is certainly the easiest, but if you can get along with FlashGet, you can go for it.

well that all depends if your talking bout for like torrents i use Bit tornado but for just like downloading off of sites then i use Internet download Accelerator
