I have XP loaded on my HD currently and I have 80GB of unallocated space. If I were to load Xandros on the remaining 80GB of space what kind of partitions would I need and will Lilo work width XP?

The better way is allocate an empty partition with XP before installing Xandros.
You can manage partitions in XP from Control Panel > Administrative tool > Computer Management > Disk management. I recommend to create an empty partition with the size about 20GB. Or you can leave about 20GB unpartitioned.
After managing partition you can go installing Xandros.

About Lilo, this is OK. Lilo is a boot manager. Xandros will detect XP and put Lilo as a boot manager.

FYI, I was installing Xandros dual boot with XP. But when my XP crash and need to reinstall XP, I can't, because Lilo reside on MBR, XP can't remove Lilo, and XP installer can't run. Need to run "Fdisk /mbr" from floppy to remove Lilo.

Very different with Lilo is GRUB. When reinstalling windows XP, XP will able to remove grub and claim the MBR for Windows XP.

Now I am no longer using Xandros. Xandros is very good distro, but the Lilo brings me a problem when need to reinstall XP. I am using Ubuntu now.
