Other - Computers - September 2006

I don't want to game, but do want graphics, can spend no more than $1000 with monitor, speakers, MS Word, etc software...

I am hung up on processors, using 6 yr old computer that cost 1200 at the time, special built for pcb layout, i.e. graphics, Would they all be better, is there a big difference between them?

Seems that processors are where the $ difference is for what I want in my computer, don't have a clue, don't want to overspend for name if another is ok for me.

Most grateful for any advice.

when you're answering a question and you want them to go to a site
they have the site already printed for you to just click. My question to you is:
how do i get that site fransfered from a different site to questions and answeres?

there is a partition in my hard drive crashed :(

other partitions in the same hard drive are working fine, but this one is not accessible and it seems that all its data is gone

is there anyway, that i can get back the data that was on this partition?? or maybe some of it, i really need some stuff that were on this partition...

I have a HP DESKJET 5440 printer and everytime I print something out, sentences always get cut off. I've tried highiliting the text and clicking on selection before I print, but it still cuts things off. Is there any preferences or settings that I can change so this won't happen. Also,I've tried to get the paper recommended for this printer and it has not helped. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this problem.

i have a problem in my computer, there are folders in my documents that it is taking size but when i click on their properties it give me 0 kb, that not my problem here, my problem is that i can't open this folder, a worning message come up telling me that i can't open this file, i have triyed o delete it but nothing,
i sooooooo want to solve this problem, give me an answer and get 30 points

the files i want them, i want a solution to open the folders, shredding the files won't delete them

I follow the instructions to put in my screen name and password. The password is always wrong. I type in the images (letters and numbers) on the screen and it continuously tells me an email has been sent, but I never get the email with the password in it. Does anybody know why? I am getting very frustrated with the whole thing. I tried restoring my computer to get back the AIM I deleted, thinking I was downloading a newer AIM, but this did no good. I am going nuts if someone doesn't help me. Thanks.
