Sure. With the other partitions still functioning, your hardware isn't totally toast (makes data recovery easier if the drive actually functions). But you're going to need some good data recovery software. We do this kind of thing in our shop on a daily basis.

I had a similar problem in June of last year, except it was my whole !@#$ drive!! I purchased a drive recovery program that didn't really help (at the time) because it only brought back the individual files and 'forgot' all the file names......
*******
HOWEVER, THERE IS STILL HOPE!
AFTER I went through all that crap, I found out that the producer of the software offered free upgrades. (that would have helped a lot back in June.....) After I upgraded (for free) the recovery software was FANTASTIC, and REMARKABLE IN EVERY WAY. It was streamlined, easy to use, and reletively cheap (in the long run)... The program is called: "Recover My Files" and cost around $70. It was well worth the money, and would recommend it to anyone.
*******
I don't know why my drive failed (or yours), but I got it fixed.
*******
NOTE: As a precaution, I started backing up ALL my data on a regular basis. I used a freeware synchronizer called "Good Sync" It is free forever, as long as you don't overload it with too many files. If you do overload it, it's still free, but you have to let it 'rest' for 30 days to continue using it. This is also a good piece of software that I would recommend to anyone who has computer problems. It Synchronizes bi-directionally (meaning that you can plug two HDs into your computer with different data on each, and 'Good Sync' will copy data from "disk A" to "disk B" and vice-versa. It is a good investment and well worth the time and effort.
*******
Please note: 'Good Sync' takes an extremely long time the first time, but after that, it is a breeze ("Recover My Files" always takes a long time, but hopefully you will only have to use it once or twice....)

I hope this helps

GOOD LUCK!
