when we use internet temporary files & cookies enter our computer. we have to deleate them. i want to stop them from entering my computer permanently. what setting must i change?

I just wondered, if we always prefix www before any site's address e.g. www.yahoo.com; www.rediff.com, why at all should we have www as part of website's address. Is itn't redundant?

For the last couple of weeks I have been keeping tabs on a website called bidz.com (jewlwey auctions) . And 4 the past 4 days I haven't been able to access this site at all. It always ends in internet explorer closing. Can some1 please try it to see if it works? otherwise it must be my computer ( but everything else seems to be working.) Thanx in advance to those who do this for me.

Here is what I want to accomplish.
I receive an e-mail.
E-mail has a link to a page from an external web-site (not in my control).
I want to capture that page.
Then, I want to remove some information from that page.
and then I want to present that page independently (i.e. it should not have any relationship to original link).

I want to actually automate this task programatically. I would appreciate if someone can suggest best way of doing it in a dependable manner.

"As of 2 days ago ive been trying to sign on to myspace and everytime i try it shows me "The page cannot be displayed". I took it to get checked out bc they said i must have accidently bloked the page. But that wasn't it. I asked a friend to please log into my account on her comp and it did the same thing and now she can't log into hers either!! omg help PLEASE!!!! "........................... so i fixed my problem about mysapce... i went to my browser - then go to tools - then internet options - then delete your cookies and delete files ... and i was able to open my mysapce again ... =)

I try to go to myspace.com and i recieve this message from my internet explorer bowser...

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

This has been the case since feb 2nd. Can someone please help me or try to help me? please...?
