If you are using word open the document folder look at the last Document made and look at the date time stamp, it will tell you the most recent if not sure right click on the document and go to properties it will tell you when it was first written and first changed that should help you find it, and windows also has a feature that saves your last created word document as a backup in case of a power failure, call tech support for help if ya need it.

even if u have renamed it accidently and can't remember the new name all is not lost. the file is on your system somewhere. go into windows explorer and hit the 'search; button. then select search for 'Documents' ...next screen hit 'use advanced search options' ....next screen type a word or words you know are within the text of the document into the text box labelled 'A word or phrase in the document' and select look in 'My Computer" then hit the search button at the bottom of that screen. its good if you can search for words within the text which you think are unique to that document to help narrow down the matching results. good luck.

If you open word again and go in the File menu there might be a list of recently opened documents.

If there isn't, try to Save As, and remember what folder it tries to save it in (you don't have to actually save). Then, open up that folder, and list details (under View). Then sort the items by Date Modified. Your document should be the most recent.

hit start, my documents, then go to the thing that is next to the words search and find to the right... it should look like a box with color dots on it kinda hit it, then select details. after you hit details it should list them as name size type and date modified. Click date modified and search the most recent documents you have used and open them up to find it

Did you just do it recently.. You can search using *.doc and narrow the search to "Time it was last modified" in a specific time frame..like "within the last week". that will narrow the search. Also if you just did it.. open any word doc and click on "file" at the bottom of the list it will show you the last 4 or so docs that you opened.
