I am forced to get rid of cable because the price went up to $47.95.Thats rediculous!I have never had DSL and see one plan that claims "up to" 1500kbps for $32.95.I did a speed check of my cable and it was running at approx 2700kbps.I know Im not going to be happy but is there anyone that has DSL and can tell me if my regular speeds will likely be much slower?If its going to be slow as molasses,then I may as well just save and go for $10.00 month dialup.Thanks

My buddies computer had this. It kept showing up in the windows system file even after cleansing it. He doesn't use IRC, but does use torrent programs. What level of threat is this virus and what does it do? What should he do to keep it off his system? Thanks

Up until five months ago we used Yahoo Messenger - worked fine on most calls. Since then he is made to use Windows Live Messenger - most calls have slowed picture and voice that simply bleeps or echoes many times. He used to have a stand alone computer, but I think this is now linked with one or more laptops. i have 2 meg bandwidth and another computer i use has 1 meg - both seem to have the same poor voice.

I have just d/l Flock for use with Photobucket, and while it's uploading a bunch of my pics it's saying, "Img_6652.jpg is not valid. It has not been uploaded," or something like that. Many of my pics have this type of file name, and it's a new album so it's not like that file name exists already. Anyone know why it's doing this?

Someone was asking another question about how to get a very cheap old computer or something to act as a terminal to access the internet.

Are there any old computers for less than about $100 or a games-console with a browser program that can do the job? Maybe they can buy one on eBay. If so, what browser software would they use?

O.K., I'm not going to lie, I was looking up "naughty" stuff but who hasn't? Also, when I go to search on my computer it shows everything that I've looked up that begins with that letter! I don't want that feature! Say, I want to look up sea monkeys well, everything that begins with sex pops up! I have my name locked with a password but it's possible someone could override it (like my bf) and be a bit shocked and upset. Also, if I have my computer serviced, can they see everything I've looked up? IS THERE ANY WAY JUST TO START FRESH AND ERASE ALL MY HISTORY? I DON"T HAVE ANYTHING REALLY IMPORTANT ON HERE YET.
